Elimination of ski fastening play in binding and ski sharpening.
Model 2025
1. After riding the Skki Trikke for some time (two seasons, or after aggressive riding, or after some kind of collision), there may be a slight looseness in the buckle fastening in the binding of the ski to the foot. This is due to the stretching of the binding rods, the arrangement of the elastomers in the base of the binding and the arrangement of the buckle in the foot. This play is manifested by a delicate fastening of the buckle when fastening the ski. The ski buckle must fasten with clear resistance, it must “click” strongly when fastening. It cannot fasten weakly, rubbery or delicately. You must feel a clear resistance when fastening the buckle. To make it easy to close/open even a tightly tensioned buckle, a tool is used (green screwdriver). If you notice that the ski latch fastens easily, you should use one of two methods to eliminate the play:
Method No. 1 (temporary solution, quick)
When you notice this, for example on the slopes or during your skiing holiday:
What do we do?
On the rear metal bar of the ski fastener, wrap several layers (4-5 layers) of silver/black self-adhesive canvas tape. This eliminates excessive slack and increases the force of fastening the ski to the foot.

The number of layers of tape depends on its thickness. After winding, the roll of tape on the metal bar of the ski binding should have a diameter of approximately 8 mm.
After this action, the buckle will close tightly and the play in the buckle clasp will be eliminated.
After this operation, the skis will be rigidly attached to the foot and will allow us to ski quickly and precisely.
This is what the rear ski bar looks like after this operation.

Method #2 removes the play and restores the ski binding to its original condition.
Here we need:
• Vice
• Wooden strip to protect the ski base
On the sliding side, we place a wooden strip to protect the sliding surface, place the ski between the jaws of the vice, raise the binding bar perpendicular to the ski and gently tighten the vice jaws to slightly bend the binding bar.

Please do it gently and sensitively and check how the buckle is bent and with what force it is attached to the foot. You can use the front fork with a foot to fasten it so that it is convenient to fasten the ski on the table and check the force of the buckle fastening.
In the front bar, you first need to unscrew the clamp screw, remove the black protection and remove the clamp. For this purpose, we use a Phillips screwdriver, which is included in the Skki Trikke tool kit.

We do exactly the same with the front bow, place it between the jaws of the vice and squeeze gently.
This will bring the tension of the ski binding buckle to its original state.
After these steps, you can still wind a 6 mm spiral hose onto the rear bar. You can buy it at any electrical store. You can do this, but not necessarily.

This will secure the metal bracket and give the ski clasp flexibility.
- Waxing and sharpening skis.
It is best to wax the bases using the hot method, we recommend that this operation, together with sharpening, be carried out by a professional ski service. We use waxes depending on the conditions on the slope, air temperature, humidity, type of snow. Important: first we apply a base wax, which protects the base for the entire season. Then waxes appropriate for the weather conditions. Our equipment is so universal that universal waxes with an appropriate base wax work best.
Sharpening the edges.
Such angles in the Skki Trikke 2025 make it easy to turn and, when leaning, stable ski handling and a sure ski edge.
The recommended sharpening angles are:
Bottom edge of ski raised by: 0.5 degrees
Side of ski edge: 88 degrees
